Since the 1970s, the month of February has been focused on celebrating the Black community. Black History Month is celebrated across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany and Netherlands by highlighting the rich culture, history,  talents and contributions that African Americans have made to society.As a woman of color, I am proud to offer you eighteen ideas for celebrating Black history this year.Here are 18 ways you can celebrate Black History Month:Make a purchase at a Black-owned business or organizationTeach African American students about vocational careers Highlight the past or present accomplishments of Black team members Attend or host a Black culture event in your communityShare this article on social mediaRead a biography of an influential Black figureCall out racism and prejudice in your communityStudy the African DiasporaLearn more about a Black authorVolunteer to help support a social cause for the Black community Donate to an Historically Black College or University Introduce an emerging leader in the Black community to your audience Learn about an unsung hero of Black historyDiscuss what you’ve learned about Black history with your loved onesEncourage healthy conversations about Black history in the workplace Visit a Black History or Civil Rights Museum in your local areaSupport a Black creative (artist, poet, local musician, etc.)Trace the history of various industries and discuss how it impacts today’s societyIn summary there are many ways to celebrate Black History Month for people of all race & ethnic backgrounds. Together programs are made to organize customer feedback and share it with the companies who need it most. Market research is often formed as reward programs that give cashback, points and more for repeat customers or referral business. Companies are very interested in the opinion of potential customers. Here’s how it works: They partner with research firms to learn how consumer’s feel about their product or service. By doing so, companies figure out what types of people buy. The process is simple. For example, Company A. has a new product idea, so they hire a market research firm to ask large groups of people how they like it. The market research company has a collection of questions they ask to narrow down what clients prefer Brand X. The Market Research firm handles recruiting and paying qualified participants to collect this data through clinical trials, focus groups, paid surveys and mystery shopping. You can earn thousands of points and thousands dollars by participating in clinical trials, focus groups, paid surveys and becoming a mystery shopper. There’s no limit on how much money you can earn money form home!  Companies will always be interested in your opinion because they need  customers. People 18 years or older can get paid to browse a variety of websites and mobile apps from home. Job seekers must have an internet connection and microphone. These jobs help companies build better products and experiences for consumers worldwide! User Testers can earn up to $120 per test. While the Analysia usability tester program is currently closed their website recommends you visit the following websites for similar job resources UserTesting, UTest, Userlytics, Validately, StartUplift, Usability.gov, UserFeel, HotJar. Mystery Shop for movie theaters as a Certified Field Associate(CFA). Certified Field Associates provide secret shoppers and on-site evaluations for movie theaters. Participants get paid up to $15 hourly to confirm which trailers are played before a movie, count patrons, evaluate audience reactions, install promotional materials and more! Resell items to 3rd party sites like Decluttr. Third party e-commerce companies pay people to sell new and used items on their website. Depending on the company they accept physical products such as books, clothing, electronics and more. Most reseller businesses provide FREE shipping for items they want to buy. Electronics are often high priority so buyers may offer to send you a prepaid shipping label. During your time on the internet, you’ve probably noticed online invitations to complete surveys. It’s true many companies will pay you to share your opinions! To do so, this may involve: participation in focus groups, testing new products/services, watching new commercials, TV shows or movies trailers, taking online surveys and more! It’s been about 15 years since I started participating in paid market research studies. My first experience was joining a focus group. I discovered the opportunity by responding to a print advertisement. The Ad itself was pretty generic. It said to make X amount of money call their phone number.When I called the number, it turned out to be a local market research firm. Honestly I was skeptical because I wasn’t familiar with market research. So I began asking the phone rep questions, like what type of company it was and why they were paying research participants. In short, she explained that national brands paid their company to get information about consumer’s habits and opinions. During that conversation, she asked me a few questions about my age, location, race and income then said I qualified for the next phase and that I would be paid for participating in a hour session with others at their physical location. Afterwards I went to the scheduled appointment and was paid cash! Since then, I’ve been rewarded for testing new products/services, watching new commercials, TV shows, movies trailers, other focus groups and taking online surveys! By doing so, I have earned points, savings, checks and cash. My highest pay was $600 from a week long focus group study. Next was earning $175 cash for a 2 hour focus group.
